Hey there, my name is Annalisa and I'm a designer, photographer, and travel writer. My passion for adventure cycling began when my mom signed me up for a bike adventure camp called Teen Treks at the age of 14. My love for bike travel was reborn after she died eight years later from leukemia complications. I cycle because despite my type 1 diabetes, I am healthy. Life is short and I don't think it can be repeated enough!
5,000 miles later, my bicycle has become my definition of happiness and the best form of therapy I've found. It's also been the lens through which my introverted self has met the world. The kind folks met along the way have become my favorite part of my adventures, so much so that I've got a series about them –– Miles of Portraits, a magazine and film documenting the people met while cycling around the world.
