Elliot Smith

Bikes have been a big part of my life pretty much since the day I was born. My parents were founders of New Zealand’s longest running mountain bike magazine, “Spoke,” so mountain bikes were a given. Unless of course I had gone down the path of the other magazine my parents owned, “Manual,” a skateboard mag, which much to my dad’s disappointment, is a sport I never quite picked up.

At the age of 14, I found myself living in Squamish, Canada, atop my first Kona, a 27.5 Kona Process 134. Since then, I’ve mainly focused on enduro racing. For 2023 I’ll be racing a mix of open and Pro EDR events around the globe as well as many local races here in NZ. Since that first Process 134, I haven’t ridden anything other than a Kona, my current bike of choice being a Process X CR DL.
