Hi! My name is Colleen Meas, and I am excited to be part of the Kona Ambassador Team! I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and I'm an adventure filmmaker and photographer. I'm now based in Mount Vernon, WA. Some of my fondest childhood memories are from grade school where I would ride my bike barefoot to my neighbor’s house to play. From a young age, I have loved exploring outside and being active and as an adult I’ve kept that passion alive by trying new outdoor activities and constantly learning new skills. I’m a believer that lifelong learning keeps us mentally younger, healthier and allows us to live more fulfilling lives. Mountain biking has been an activity that ticks all the boxes for me, you get a great workout, you are always learning new ways to ride better, you make great connections and friendships, and you get to be outside exploring trails in a completely addicting way. As a mental health advocate, I believe that the healing power of nature should be accessible to all. I work to inspire more women and people of color to get outside, and I hope to spread mental health awareness and tell more outdoor stories that deserve to be heard.
