Strength: I might look like a climber but my legs are filed with fast twitch.

Weakness: The dessert tray or anything chocolate.

Why do you ride: I am always late when I walk.

What/who started you riding: My brother got me and my two sisters into BMX when we were kids. We would come home with huge trophies because there were no other girls racing. Fifteen years later he got me into mountain bike racing.

Marital Status: Married to the Super Simms fan Norm Thibault!

Hardest part of life: Getting my butt out of bed to train before work in the winter when it's dark and pouring rain.

Worst moment in career & why: The year of 4th place finishes when I just couldn't seem to get on he 3rd step of the podium

What did you want to be when you were a kid: To not be called "SEA COW" anymore.

In one word how would your best friend describe you? A Menace with a wicked sense of humor.

Favorite food: Chocolate and more chocolate and then a bit more chocolate.

Favorite Music: Anything but country and Phil Collins.

Best idea of having good time: Riding bikes in the sun with good friends.

Favorite place to travel to: Belize!

Most respected mountain bike riders: Every single privateer mountain biker who is still poor but still riding and racing their bikes because they love it.

Other most respected athletes: Anyone who uses their influence to better the world

Favorite riding spots and courses: Any place on Vancouver Island because it is rocky and technical and ther is usually no one else around. All the cross courses in Europe because the fans are NUTS!

Advice to beginners: Momentum is your friend.

Other sports you do: Adventure racing, trail running, basketball, snowboarding, kayaking, cross country skiing.

Do you have a coach: My brother Kevin Simms coaches me through Hardwood Hills. He keeps it really fun with lots of off-road riding and cross training. I can also swear at him at the end of a really hard training week.

Typical training week: A lot more miles now that I don't have a full time job.

Career Highlights: Winning 2007 Canadian National Championships over Alison Sydor and Lyne Bessette. Three time Canadian National Cyclocross Champion, 3rd Overall at Sea Otter Classic , 12th at World Cyclocross Championships

Year 2007 Highlights: Candian National Champion, Winner Trans Rockies mixed division (with husband Normon), 2nd Cyclocross Grand-Prix Demy-Cars/Grand-Prix Hotel Threela

Objectives for 2008: Top five finish at CX World Championships, repeat our Trans Rockies victory, get back on the podium at the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross and fly the KONA flag high!
