The Week-end Out East-November 5th and 6th

The last trip to the east coast for the Kona boys brought more success to the team clad in wicked orange. Saturday featured the Lower Allen Classic near Harrisburg Pennsylvania. I was on my own at this race as Ryan had obligations at a wedding to attend to. From the gun Itook the holeshot and kept the pace high for the remainder, distancing myself from the field on a twisty technical track to win by over a minute.

Saturday night brought Trebon's arrival for a quick stop over on the way to Belgium to race with the big boys. Sunday's Race in Highland Park was a high speed wind swept affair. Again it was all Kona on the front from the Gun with Wicks and Trebon eclipsing the field. An early puncture by Trebon left him a hard chase but with 3 to go he had rejoined Wicks as the rode a team time trial off the front, finishing together with Ryan crossing the line first to collect maximum points for his European campaign.

Konas Georgia Gould battled both days with the hard charging Vello Bella girls to finish second on Saturday and third on Sunday.Sunday night featured an intense packing session with Trebon managing to cram 3 bikes and 6 wheel sets into 3 bike cases for his overseas adventure.

After some well deserved rest back home in California Wicks looks to capture the Grand Prix Series on Home turf in two weeks as Trebon hits the European World Cup circuit to hone his speed and skills for his assault on the National Championships.
