I grew up in Hood River, Oregon skiing and riding bikes with my dad who is also an avid biker and racer. He kick-started my passion by giving me his old mountain bike in high school. After moving to Bellingham for college, I fell in with the wrong-right crowd at Kona bikes and became even more involved with the mountain biking scene. My favorite places to ride include the techy trails in Pemberton and Squamish, BC as well as the local trails in Bellingham. When I'm not riding bikes, I'm usually studying at Western Washington University, working at the Kona Bike Shop, skiing, kiteboarding, climbing, or trying to learn tricks on my dirt jumper.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
I'm from Hood River, OR and I live in Bellingham, WA
DO YOUR BIKES REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL SETUP TRICKS TO MAKE THEM “JUST RIGHT”?
Some custom stickers are key for all of my bikes - A rainbow "skittles bike" decal for my Operator, and a Cascadia flag themed "Hannah B." decal for my Process, so I can feel like a real pro.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SEASON?
I'm registered for the Trans BC with my dad this summer. I'm super excited to ride and race my favorite BC trails with him!
WHO IS THE CYCLIST YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY?
My dad fueled my biking addiction from the beginning, and continues to inspire me with his skills. There are so many rad female riders that I admire... Vero Sandler, Miranda Miller, and Joey Gough to name a few, all with tons of style that just make me want to ride my bike whenever I see them ride.
WHERE WAS THE BEST PLACE YOU RODE IN 2018?
Pemberton, BC is a cool little spot. It has so many amazing, gnarly old and new trails to explore, and only a few hours from home.
WHAT ACTOR/ACTRESS WOULD PORTRAY YOU IN A MOVIE?
HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOU IN JUST THREE WORDS?
humble. fearless. "Hanimal".
FAVORITE MOMENT OF 2018
Again, it's hard to pick just one. A highlight for me was helping lead an all-ladies' bikepacking trip in Bellingham this summer. It was so cool to share my passion for bikes with 10 other ladies and introduce them to all the fun that bikes have to offer! I was able to help them overcome fears and doubts they had about being in the outdoors and riding on technical terrain, and that was super rewarding for me.
Would you like more time or more money?
I'm always wanting more time to go on trips, ride bikes, ski, and spend with friends. Plus, "dirt-bagging" is half the fun! In the words of Douglas Adams, “This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much all of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.”
Would you rather have no internet or no cellphone?
Hmmm, probably no internet
As much as I'd want to give up the phone, it would be a struggle to communicate ride plans without one. But, it would also be very difficult to study without the internet.
Would you rather be invisible or the have the ability to fly?
Ability to fly!
Self-shuttle laps with bikes or skis, plus commuting would be awesome.
Pancakes or French Toast?
My dad, Timmy, makes the BEST French toast.
Would you rather have a winter of rain or a winter of snow?
Because skiing at Baker is a blast!
