Delia grew up riding the flat, rooty, rocky singletrack gnar of New England after her dad introduced her to mountain biking. She started racing mountain bikes her senior year at Colby College in Maine and competed in everything from XC to dual slalom to downhill. Delia moved out to Seattle from Maine in 2013, rode Tiger Mountain for the first time, and her mind was blown. The trails in the PNW were like nothing she had seen before. They were full of big swooping berms, flowy downhill, and so much loam. After focusing on XC racing for 7 years, she did the 2015 Sturdy Dirty enduro on her XC bike and realized there was more to life than hill reps and full spandex. Delia got her first enduro bike, the Process 134, joined the Kona Supremes in Fall 2016. She changed her focus to enduro and ripped it up in the local Cascadia Dirt Cup series. Last year was her first pro enduro season, and she's stoked to get after it again this year.

Before races, I usually try to eat beets since they naturally oxygenate your blood. I give myself pump-up talks to remind me that I can do this and visualize how I want my race to go. Ideally, I try to get a good night of sleep, but usually I'm too nervous and excited!
FAVORITE PLACE TO RIDE
Tokul, my home trails!
WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
I grew up in Glastonbury, CT, then lived in Maine for 8 years while I was in school, and I currently live in Seattle, WA.

THREE THINGS WE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU
I have a huge fluffy gray Maine Coon cat named Princess Sprinkles.
I was the 2008 Division 2 Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference champion for mountain biking
I used to be fluent in Russian and briefly lived in St Petersburg.
FAVORITE MOMENT OF 2017
After breaking my finger in the first race of the year, crashing hard in my first race back after my finger healed, and pretty much finishing DFL at every enduro in 2017, I finished 5th at my last race of the year at Dry Hill in Port Angeles and got to stand on the podium with Jill Kintner. There's nothing quite like finishing a tough season on a high note surrounded by your teammates, getting to meet one of your heroes, and getting stoked to improve even more next year!
