KONA LES GETS TEAM RIDER TRACY MOSELEY 4TH AT SCHLADMING, AUS WORLD CUP

Tracy Moseley had the top finish of the weekend for the Kona Les Gets Factory Gravity squad at the Shladming World Cup in Austria finishing in 4th place. Team vehicle issues made for a challenging outing for the team. The clutch gave out right on the Austria-Germany border and from there it was a logistical challenge just to get all the riders and equipment to the event.

Both Fabien and Tracy looked poised to finish at or near the top of podium with their good qualifying placings of 3rd and 1st respectively. But in the heat of the competition the riders runs weren’t what they were hoping for with Fabien finishing out at 11th place.

Kamil Tatarkovic had an ok go at the 4X events but had some real tough pairing in the brackets and was not able to make it to the ¼ finals and only managed 18th. Tatarkovic’s final time though was actually quite fast and on par with the top ten finishers.

For the XC folks it was a weekend of dominating regional races. Barry Wicks attended the Cougar Mountain Classics in Sonoma, CA and with the absence of any of the top riders took it to the field and won by over 10 minutes.

Kris Sneddon and Wendy Simms attended the 15th Annual Padden MTN Pedal in Bellingham, WA and both took top honors winning the Men & Women Open classes reactively.

Neal Kindree took 2nd place at the BC provincial championships. He was happy with his finish but a bit disappointed to lose his Provincial Champ title. He was locked in a heated battle with top ten world cup finisher Ricky Federau for much of the race but in the end just couldn’t keep up the pace in the final stages of the race.

Up next for the XC team the National Championships. The USA team members headed to Mt. Snow Vermont and Canadians headed to Mt. Washington, British Columbia.

The Gravity riders will prepare for their National Championships and also their upcoming participation in the Crankworx Whistler events and festivities. July 21st-30th, 2007.
