La Molina is located in the La Cerdanya valley, in the Spanish Pyrenees, surrounded by mountains more than 2,500m high. The park has excellent terrain for XC and DH with a vertical drop from 700m to 1500m.
La Molina had its first ski race in 1909. The ski resort had built its first ski lift in 1943. Since 1983, within a plan to promote the mountain area, the Regional Government Generalitat de Catalunya, took over the sport area of the ski resort. Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Railways Company) is the administration agency and has the responsibility of managing the ski resort in the winter and the bike park in summer, including slopes, trails and lifts, parking areas and 5 restauration areas.

By car from Barcelona: take the road C-16, passing through Manresa until Berga and then go across the Tunnel del Cadí (Cadí tunnel), pass Alp and take the way GI-400 to La Molina. Another way to go is by the road C17, passing through Vic and Collada de Toses. From other places of Spain, take the way of Lleida by road C-13, C-26 and C-14 passing through La Seu d’Urgell until Alp and by the way GI-400 until the La Molina resort.

La Molina se ubica en un amplio valle de La Cerdanya, en el norte de Cataluña, en los Pirineos españoles, rodeada por montañas de más de 2500 metros. El terreno es excelente para XC A DH, con unos desniveles de 700 m a 1500 m.
La Molina realizó la primera carrera de esquí en el año 1909 y construyo el primer telesquí el 1943. Desde 1983, dentro de un plan para promover las áreas de montaña, la Generalitat de Cataluña asumió la propiedad de la estación de esquí. Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Cataluña es la empresa que administra y dirige la estación de esquí durante el invierno y el bikepark en verano, incluyendo pistas, itinerarios, remontes, parkings y 5 restaurantes.
